What's the problem with that, you may ask? 🤔

The problem is that, when we feel good we usually don't take actions towards change.

Don't mistake the feeling with the goal of the messages. 🎯

Every piece of inspiration I give here is not for you to enjoy it, but to get you to practice and evolve 🚀

Touching the Essence of Pranayama

While working with your breath realize that there is a Subtle Force that moves the air in, and moves the air out.

It's with this awareness of the subtle force, infused with reverence and devotion to the Lord of the Force that true pranayama is practiced.

Otherwise we are just playing with air, moving it from side to side.

Insight from this morning meditation 🧘🏻‍♂:

Step 1 - Quiet down 🤫😌

Step 2 - Turn on the Fire of Desire 🔥🔥

Step 3 - Direct the intense desire to find Pure Unconditional Love 🧡 in my ♥

Step 4 - Direct the Pure Devotion by the 👁 of discrimination to the One Lord indwelling in All 🛐

The recipe for an inspiring asana class:

There is a balance/tension between Newness and the Old & Familiar that if applied in just the right amount, can create a great experience on the Yoga mat or off it.

Research has shown that 70% Old & Familiar an 30% Newness is the magical ratio that makes things feel familiar but fresh, known but with a twist.

So for your next asana practice, if you work on the 12 asanas try to incorporate :
a. 2 new variations instead of the regular asanas
b. A new approach to your breath during Kapalabhati or AV
c. A visualization on the chakra during one or two asanas

Be playful and keep your practice ever fresh.

How to keep your meditation 🧘🏻‍♀🧘🏻‍♂fresh ?

The 1st and foremost tip is to set an intention to the practice - why are you practicing?

Intention means you have a definite goal which creates
1. Focus 🎯
2. Ambition 💪🏻
3. Determination 👁
4. Mindset that is ready to tackle obstacles 🙃

If this intention is Satvic👼🏻and.....non selfish - done to bring blessings to many 😇 Your practice will feel fresh, powerful, elevating and blessed 🎊🎉🎊

Try it and see for yourself

This one is an important one !!!

Pay close attention ♥

Don't be afraid / ashamed / resentful if you experience bliss or pleasure during your practice. Don't be too elated, attached or proud either !

The pleasure is the pointer ! Enquire, search and find the source (a hint - the source is not chocolate).

Rejoice in praising / loving / surrendering to that source , that light, that Truth.
Then you are on the right path.

The Power of Repetition

We are learning the Chandogya Upanishad with Swami Sharvananda Giri from Utter Kashi - Himalayas.

We are learning the 6th chapter where Udalaka teaches his son Shwetaketu about the Absolute Reality.....

This is an unbelievable knowledge !!! And yet everyday when Swamiji asks us to give a summary, none of us is daring and he is giving the summary himself.

Today I realized (again) how precious it is to have the whole structure in the mind (not in notes, not in notebooks) but to commit to memory all the knowledge and the way its building blocks are arranged to produce an all encompassing understanding.

We've become so dependent on computers, smart phone etc. Allowing them to become our memory without understanding that we've outsourced one of the most important capacities of our brains and mind without which we become really mentally weak.

So wish me luck, it's going to be a talk of about 15-20 minutes describing everything we've learned up till here....I'm really excited to do this and feel so privileged to allow my mind to be reshaped to capture the whole structure as well as the building blocks of this Divine knowledge.
